About Margherita's

This lively BYO pizzeria offers signature pies, housemade pastas & outdoor seating.

Located at 740 Washington St, Hoboken, NJ 07030, Margherita's operates as an italian restaurant serving Hoboken in New Jersey. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as takeout restaurant, restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 12–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Margherita's at (201) 222-2400; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Hoboken is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Hoboken peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A true local gem in Hoboken! The chicken Marsala is hands down one of the best I've ever had, and the penne vodka with chicken is absolutely incredible. Every dish is packed with flavor, and it's easy to see why this place is always busy. If you're looking for authentic Italian comfort food that never disappoints, this spot is a must-try!

A perfect spot for an Italian dinner! It’s BYOB, which is always a nice bonus. We really enjoyed the pesto pasta and the Margherita pizzaβ€”both were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The ambiance is beautiful, the service was excellent, and the overall dining experience was wonderful. We’d definitely come back again!

My fiancΓ© and I came here on a date night and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere and food were both great. The staff, especially our waitress Gabriella, made the experience even more enjoyable. She was very nice and remembered/accommodated our dietary restrictions. We had the chance to meet the manager as well and he is also very welcoming and kind. We will definitely be back here again!

The food was very underwhelming. I used to think that those TV shows were exaggerating when the customer didn’t like the food but it was one of the very few times I had ever really disliked my dish. It tasted like stinky as the best way I can describe it. Also, in denial, I looked around at the faces of the people eating as well and one man with his family complained their pasta was too spicy and stated coughing and turning red. On my right hand side these two ladies barely touched their food either. I also ordered a mojito. There was so much lime juice in there, I used the free water they give to you to dilute my drink. Imagine if I ordered it regular instead of virgin. It’s disappointing because I also ordered the Parmesan fries. They came with no Parmesan, just a sauce. They were crispy and tasted great so at least that was good. I’m just disappointed because I spent $50 on a meal to take myself out to eat to relax and the main dish was very bad. Also, I’ve been here before a few years ago and I had their chicken Parmesan dish and it was excellent. But now? It’s a no-go for me.

Stopped in here years ago for some after dinner drinks and put it on my list to return to and try some food. Finally an opportunity came and I returned! It's a tiny space! I accidental tapped someone on my way in and out of here since the walkways are tighter than a pirates plank! We were sat immediately. Service was iffy. The server was nice enough, but you have to do you part to get his attention. The ambience was quaint and it wasn't overly loud. Now to the food! It was pretty good! We ordered a muscle antipasti, a pasta and a pizza to share. The food looks amazing, smells amazing, and tastes amazing! Small note that the pizza was a bit on the salty side, but it did not ruin the meal. The meal left me wanting to come back and try something else! Pro tip! Use the inkind app to get some cashback on your meal here! Thanks for a great dinner!
